Not far away from the Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok, at the roof top of a three-story building, the 1st large scale hydroponic roof top farm is sweet-smelling with red tasty strawberry.

The total area of this roof top greenhouse is around 1,000 sqm, which was designed and offered by Sangreen. To maximize the use of natural light for high-efficiency photosynthesis, meanwhile, to enhance working safety, the greenhouse is fully covered with F-clean film. Combined with multiple shading and cooling system under smart auto-control, the ideal plant growth environment is no longer the dream and the full-year production is realized.  

The 1st production season at this roof farm is leafy-vegetable. Benefiting from the NFT rolling gully system, the effective planting area in the greenhouse is maximized and daily maintenance is much easier.

On the 2nd production season, this roof top farm was changed from leafy vegetable to the strawberry. The variety of the strawberry is Haruberry, which originates from Japan with sweet-smelling taste. The strawberry gully table is 70cm high, which is much labor-friendly comparing with the ground-production, and also can offer much hygienic growing environment to the strawberry.

Moreover, this roof top farm is also equipped with LED light, which maintains the stable lighting environment for all crops, especially during the rainy season and for the certain growing period’s demand.
